BHDRACHALAM: Seva Bharathi, a social service organisation which has been in the forefront in times of natural calamities in Bhadrachalam division, has won public acclaim for its services to the flood-hit tribal and Kondareddy families. Seva Bharathi state general secretary Muralikrishna and district coordinator Avula Subba Rao said that under the aegis of the organisation, utensils, lungis, bed sheets, rice, essential commodities and sarees, all worth Rs 8.50 lakh had been distributed to 3480 tribals and Kondareddys. Similarly, medicines worth Rs 2.30 lakh had also been distributed. Further, medical camps were conducted in 48 tribal villages covering Chintur, Kunavaram and Vara Ramachandrapuram mandals thereby providing medical & health services to 8230 tribals. Special medical teams, brought from Vijayawada, conducted check-ups and treated the patients.
