Thiruvananthapuram: Police arrested 15 CPM gundas including local leaders Hari Prasad and Ranjith in connection with attack on Sevabharathi Balasadan, Stabbing Karyavahak of Balasadan Shri Mohan and the old lady who take care of the Kids in Balasadan.Shri Mohan underwent series of operations in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. He had multiple injuries from the attempted murder attack. Blood Spilled in the Walls On Saturday around 11.30 am eight thugs barged into Balasadan in Motor bike. First they attacked the old lady who takes care of the kids and later they attacked Shri Mohan inside the office. He was continuously stabbed and the murderous gang left thinking Mohan died. Orphanage run by Seva Bharathi attacked

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person was injured when a group of unidentified persons attacked an orphanage run by Seva Bharathi in the city yesterday. The injured identified as Mohanan, the secretary of the orphanage, was admitted to Medical College Hospital here, police said.The gang came in motorbikes and terrorised the children and also damaged the furniture of the orphanage, sources of the Institution said. Kottayam:’Thanal’ an initiative by Seva Bharathi provides shelter for a new born who lost mother hours after birth.Neethu a native of Karipputhattu gave birth on October 7th at Kottayam medical college. Neethu was suffering from jaundice and she passed away within days after giving birth. Protecting the child was a question to the family and the local well-wishers. They approached Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Kottayam on this regard, who arranged the adoption of the child from the family members by Thanal, Ottapalam.Adoption ceremony held at baby's family home at Chungam was attended by several RSS & VHP leaders including seva pramukh Sri.K.N.Menon, Smt.Shantha Menon, Mathrushakthi state secy. Rain water harvesting Projects
Even while people were merely discussing the benefits of the Rain Water Harvesting Project, the Seva Bharathi workers had translated it into a reality at Olavanna Panchayat, near the Calicut City Corporation. The rain water from the rooftops is collected in a Ferro-cement tank and purified into drinking water. The scheme could to a large extent solve the water scarcity in the locality.
Trauma CareDuring  the tragic Kadalundi Train accident, Seva Bharathi Volunteers had played a leading role in rescuing those who were trapped in the train compartments that plunged into the river, and also those who were brought to Kozhikode Medical College for treatment. Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sewa Pramukh Shri Sitaram Kedilaya said we can save the humanity only by saving the villages and only then the concept of Ramrajya would be materialised. He said as the devils used to destroy the villages during the ancient period, the Naxalites and Maoists are destroying them. A three-day training camp of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati activists, engaged in rural development, cow protection, organic farming, environment protection, water harvesting and cottage industries, was organised at Surabhi Sodh Sansthan, Dagmagpur (Mirjapur) in Uttar Pradesh from March 1 to 3. A festive atmosphere prevailed in the city as various social, religious and cultural organisations joined hands to celebrate the dawn of “vikrami samvat 2065” (the Hindu New Year) as the cultural revival day, here today.

Celebrations that began in the wee hours continued till evening as various organisations had organised different events under the aegis of “sanskriti utthan manch”. The programme started on the historic Ridge early in the morning. It was followed by an hour-long session of yoga organised by the local chapter of Patanjali Yogapeeth of swami Ramdev.Thereafter a hawan was organised by the Gayatri Parivar in which Governor V.S. Kokje also participated.
