Mangalore: Society Ever Indebted to Blood Donors - DC

Mangalore, Jun 18: World Blood Donors' Day was recently observed at a programme organized at the auditorium of the deputy commissioner's office here, under the aegis of the district unit of the Indian Red Cross.

Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner and chairman of the district unit of Indian Red Cross M Maheshwar Rao, speaking on the occasion, said that the society at large is ever indebted to the blood donors for their selfless humanitarian services.

He suggested for organizing blood donation camps on a large scale regularly in all the regions of the district and draw up plans to make available blood to the health needs of rural population in particular and others in general.
