Swayamsevaks help Orissa flood victims

RSS swayamsevaks (seva bharati volunteers) provided relief to the flood victims of Orissa. They distributed relief to the victims in Kendrapada, Aul, Rajkanika, Rajnagar, Pattamundai, Patkura, Gardapur, Salepur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Banki, Bari, Jajpur, Balikuda, Rahama, Teramanapur, Biridi, Maragagha, Raghunathpur, Tirtole, Kujanga, Bhapur, Khandapada, Gania, Nuagaon, Kanas, Delanga, Ashtarang, Nimapara, Puri, Gopa, Nayagarh and some other flood-affected areas. More than 20 lakh people in 110 blocks under 17 districts of Orissa were affected by the natural calamity. The situation continued to be grim as Mahanadi and its tributaries, which were in spate for the last four days, caused at least 32 breaches. Meanwhile, the Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti dispatched five medical teams to various places to provide medical relief to the flood-victims.
