EMC sponsors school kits at Gurappana Palya.

School kit distribution program for the 80 kids from Gurappanapalya slum was held on June 26th in the afternoon at the Seva Bharati building. All these children attend free tuition centers run by Seva Bharati at this location.

Mr.Deepak Vishweswaraiah, Director at EMC Data Storage Systems, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Seva Bharati has been running the tuition center at this location for over 20 years and has made a significant difference to the education level of people there.

The program bean with a prayer by the children and was followed by welcome and introduction of Seva Bharati by Mr.Srikant Betageri. Mr.Venkatesh Murthy, coordinator of YFS, explained briefly the mission of YFS and how all of us must give back to society when we grow up.

Mr.Deepak emphasized the need for hard work and discipline to achieve anything substantial in life. Along with the school kits, Deepak also distributed sweet boxes to all the children. EMC is one of the corporate sponsors for the school kit drive and matched the contribution from its employees towards this noble effort.

Many high school students there were keen that YFS volunteers should come there on a regular basis to help with special lessons in Maths, Science and English.

Kandhamal peace rally

As you know Seva Bharati is in the Peace building process immediately after the Kandhamal violence to till date. Taking the harmony process into account in Mundigarh GP a Shanti & Sadvawana Committee has formed consists of all the communities like Kutia, Gond, Panga, Dalits & Christian. This committee is going to organize a massive gathering at Jhiripani on 2nd November 08' & at Mundigarh on 3 rd Nov. 08'. It is expected to 4000 people will be participated in the meetings. People from various sectors like Social Activists, Civil society
Groups, Gandhian Activists, Sarvodaya Workers, local intellectuals, NSB college students, School students, Academicians will also join in this peace meeting.

Apart from this a cultural troupe is going to perform stage shows where a skit Prepared by SB Staffs, Maa Bhairabi High School Students & Baji Raut Chatrabasha- Anugul, Few Peace songs by Seva Bharati staffs & A photo exhibition prepared by Natya Chetana will be perform as awareness building. The significance of this troupe is all the instruments of local Tribals &
Dalits will be used like Dhapa, Khanjara, Dhola, Ghumura & Mahuri. Also all communities' students will be joined with us. This will be starting from 4thNov. to 10 th Nov covering the entire District.

The shows will perform at the Panchayat Head quarter, School, College & the Main Chowks of the area. The theme of the skit, which will perform through Mono action, is "*Adi Manav*- how the people are struggling for existence with each other from the very beginning of the society, time to time organizing peace process & succeeded to bring harmony & social balance."

Meanwhile a Rally will be covered the District starting from Mundigarh where near about 1000 people will be participated. On 4th Nov. This will start its journey from Tumudibandh NSB College & end on 10th Nov.

In support of these above events we need cooperation of all to successfully convey the peace throughout the Dist.

A two day LMNT camp was organized at Agra

Dixit and Sri Pawan Upadhyay at two different locations in the city. Seva Bharati extended all possible support including permission for me to stay at the Karyalaya premises at Madhav Bhavan, Jaipur House, for which I thanked them, on Guruji’s behalf.

The camp on 26th was essentially for chronic cases who were already taking LMNT treatment, while the camp on 27th was attended by several new patients.

On 27th morning I had a brief informal meeting with some of the officials of Seva Bharati :-

Mananaeeya Suryanarayan Mishraji - Prant Mahamantri,

Sri Jagadeeshji - Prant Prachar Pramukh,

Sri Gangaramji - Kshetra Seva Pramukh,

Sri Raghavenra Tiwariji - Saayam Shakha Pramukh

and Sri Hrishi Kumar ji.

All the above have said that they will motivate eligible students for the future LMNT courses at Suryamal and have requested that they should be sent the application forms for the same.

A total of approx 70 patients received the benefit of my counsel and the LMNT treatment on the two days.
