Old persons should not be overlooked: Min (Seva Bharathi)

Bhopal, Oct 1:
Minister of State for Social Justice Ranjana Baghel today said that old people should not be neglected or overlooked and added that their ideology and habits made them great.
Addressing a function on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, organised by Seva Bharti, at Anand Dham Old Age Home here, Ms Baghel stressed the need for proper counselling in the old age homes and changing of mentality of the family members. ''Sending old people to the old age home is not the solution to the problem,'' she pointed out.
Extending her best wishes to the aged people, the Minister assured that the government would always help them and keeping in view this aspect the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan had called a Mahapanchayat for the old people.
Ms Baghel also honoured the people, who dedicated their life to the service of old persons.
