Silver Jubilee Committee of Seva Bharati Draws Up Celebration Agenda

The first meeting of the silver jubilee committee of Seva Bharati was held at the banquet hall of Silver Inn Hotel, Marol – Maroshi Road, Andheri (East), on Sunday July 18.

Seva Bharati silver jubilee committee president B Vivek Shetty presided over the programme and inaugurated their website www.sevabhaarati.brinkster.net on the same occasion.


“The silver jubilee celebrations of the organization will be grandly conducted with a cultural extravaganza by the artists of the three units—Yaksha Bharati, Nratya Bharati and Kavya Bharati—that form Seva Bharati.  Veterans of arts, poetry, and dance will be felicitated on the same occasion”, said Jaya N Shetty, president, Seva Bharati.

Madhusudan Rao explained about Nratyotsav while Damodar Shetty Iruvail talked about Yakshotsav.

The metro-based Devadiga Sangh former president Dharmapal U Devadiga was chosen for the National Seva Bharati Award.

Renowned Yakshagana artiste K K Shetty, social workers K M Kotian, G T Acharya, Surendra S Shetty, Sudhakar R Shetty, chartered accountant Suresh Hegde, and Praveen B Shetty were present on the dais.

Veteran hotelier K Raviraj Hegde, Billavar Association vice-president L V Amin, Billava Jagrati Balaga K Bhoja Rao, ‘Karnataka Malla’ Kannada daily editor Chandrashekar Palettaty, Bombay Bunts Association president Jayant K Shetty, former president Jaya V Shetty, lawyer Ratnakar Shetty, P Dhananjay Shetty, Surendra Salian Mundkoor, Vani A Ucchilkar, S B Shetty, P K Salian, Balakrishna P Bhandary, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, and Ratnakar Shetty Morla were present on the occasion.

Shailaja Madhusudan rendered the prayers while honorary secretary Bhaskar A Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
