Sewa bharati: Amway distributors raise funds to support children of Matruchaya

Volunteers of Amway Opportunity Foundation comprising of Amway associates, distributors came together to do their bit for improving the living conditions of the children of Matruchaya - an NGO at Bhopal, by raising funds at a Musical Evening here in the city today. What made today's programme special was the presence of well-known singer Akilesh Tripathi (of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame top 10 finalist), Navneet Kaur and some Amway distributors exhibiting their singing talent.AOF has partnered with Matruchaya under "Project Sunrise" to support Health expenses of all the children staying in Matruchaya for a period of three years .
Today's program aims to enhance comfort levels of 21 orphans sheltered at Matruchaya by presenting two Air Conditioners to protect children from severe summers and an Insect Repellant to keep unwanted bugs and pests - a source of many diseases - at bay Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Achinta Banerjie, Vice President, Amway India (West) stated "We at Amway are extremely proud to be associated with Matruchaya. Our relationship now has become even stronger today with a clear focus of facilitating our children to have a very comfortable stay at Matruchaya. He added, "it is very well understood now that business cannot succeed in a society that fails. Achieving inclusive and sustainable development can be realized only if different sectors of the society work together harmoniously"Shri. Somankantji, Administrator, Matruchaya, stated, "We are thankful to Amway Opportunity Foundation for extending a helping hand to us."

About Matruchaya
Matruchaya is a special cell of Sewa Bharathi Trust having presence in Bhopal, Indore, Bilaspur, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Raipur. It is an abode for the abandoned children of age group 0-6 years. These kids are either handed over by Government hospitals, abandoned at the gate/door s teps of "Matruchaya" or handed-over by Police Stations. These kids are nurtured here by dedicated workers with the help of trained staff viz. Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers and Ayas etc. with all parental care and affection in a homely atmosphere.
About Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF)
Amway Opportunity Foundation is a non-profit organization of Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd, which started its operations in 1996 well before the company commenced its commercial operations in India. The foundation has been instrumental in multiple causes with a vision to enable the less privileged child to lead a better life. AOF has also installed water purifier and coolers at most of the homes so that children can have access to clean and safe drinking water at all times.
