Sewa Sangam in Bengaluru : A search for the grassroots leaders

Drinking water tank-which happens to be the bone of contention in every other village-is open to all villagers. The members of the SHG initiated cleaning process of the tank themselves offering karseva, following which whole village participated. ‘Anganwadi’ centre for the young kid’s education was brought into the village from a neighbouring village as the students had to walk long. SHRI Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghachalak of RSS while addressing the Sewa Sangam on February 7, 2010 in Bengaluru said, "The volunteers of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati are serving the society in a way that is different from many others. Sewa Bharati camp in Haridwar Kumbha

SEWA Bharati is going to organise a camp in Haridwar Kumbha from March 21 to April 18. According to Shri Vinod Mittal, Sambhag Pramukh of Sewa Bharati, Uttarakhand, there will be a huge exhibition showcasing the work of Sewa Bharati going on in different parts of the country. The exhibition will highlight how the service activities are being undertaken by the workers and how they are helping the beneficiaries to turn benefactors. There will also be an exhibition on Vishwa Mangal Gou Gram Yatra recently conducted from Kurukshetra to Nagpur. Apart from highlighting the public response the Yatra received in different parts of the country, the exhibition will also educate the people on organic farming, panchgavya products, benefits of Indian breed cow and how the villagers can earn handsome amount from the cow rearing.
