RSS relief work updates and appeal: Gujarat Seva Bharati donates Rs. 1 crore for relief work

Sewa Bharati Gujarat has donated Rs. 1 cr for the victims of the Leh Aug 6th cloudburst. The donation was given to the Ladakh Aapdha sahayta Kosh at the Gol Market Sewa bharathi office where an exhibition as well as a video presentation of the loss was showcased. The Destruction by the Leh floods was huge and Sri Jaidevji the eyewitness of the tragedy narrated the unfortunate night. He also said according to Sewa Bharathi there are 205 loss of lives 250 missing and 230 injured in which 23 army jawans killed and 12 of them still missing.

Rehabilitation: Plan of action

Sewa Bharathi on its part has decided to build 100 houses to the flood affected. In Leh the worst affected, 50 houses will be built by Sewa bharathi and 100 houses for the Maveshis. Sewa bharathi will adopt the Orphan children and provide them with education and all facilities needed to make them self reliant and proud ladakhi. Sewa Bharati would also support the women who lost their support and provide them with self reliance and training for them to be self reliant. As part of the reconstruction the bridges would be built and the whole project would cost about  2.5 cr.

Apart from this Sewa bharati Delhi will adopt 25 Orphan children from the cloudburst victims and provide all the necessary facilities until they are self sustained.

Tree plantation drive conducted: Sewa bharati Jammu

R S PURA : A tree plantation drive was conducted by RS Pura Branch of Sewa Bharti on Monday in which the volunteers planted 40 trees in the premises of Government Boys Middle School RS Pura and the office of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) RS Pura. President Sewa Bharti Unit RS Pura Anjli Khanna in collaboration with ZEO RS Pura Veena Devi and Headmaster of Middle School Tilak Raj launched the drive.
In her address Anjli Khanna said that keeping in view the threat of global warming, every one should plant maximum number of trees to keep the area green. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Asha Rani, Ritu Rani, Menu Khanna and Samitra Rani besides the staff and the students of ZEO Office and of the school.
