50 houses distributed to Kadwad landslide victims

Aasare houses built by the Seva Bharati Trust, Hubli, with the help of Uttara Kannada district administration for the victims of landslip at Kadwad village were handed over to the beneficiaries on Thursday. As many as 19 people were killed in the landslips in Kadwad village. Sri Vamanashrama Swamiji of Haldipur Math symbolically handed over the keys of the houses to the family members of the victims. Suresh (Bhaiyyaji) Joshi, general secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in his address said that it is a “small gesture towards society which had given us everything”. He said Seva Bharati and the victims were not known to each other. But humanity and compassion of different donors who helped build the houses donating money and material brought Seva Bharati and the displaced facilities together.
