UDHAMPUR: The Udhampur unit of Directorate of Field Publicity, Govt. of India, J and K Region in close coordination with Bhartya Vidya Mandir, Udhampur and Seva Bharti, Udhampur -NGO, organised a special interactive programme on Tuesday. On this occasion the Director of Field Publicity, GOI, J and K Region, Obaidur Rehman was the Chief Guest. Renu Sharma, Principal, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udhampur presided over.
In all 10 participants of the school spoke on role of youth in national integration and communal harmony. Pooja Thakur, Sarita and Akshay Kumar were adjudged as best speakers in order of their merit. While honouring the meritorious speakers, the Chief Guest apprised the youth about the necessity of National Integration and Communal Harmony when the whole world is engulfed with unrest, militancy and regionalism. He stressed upon the audience to know their responsibility about oneness and harmony in the society to steer the country on path of progress and prosperity. The Chief Guest congratulated the institution for observing Scouts Day celebrations now-a-days and their active participation in the national cause of integration and harmony to commemorate the teachings and sacrifices of our veteran leaders who always worked for the integration and harmony.
Renu Sharma, Neelam Nargotra, R.P Amla and B.L Gupta also spoke on the occasion for maintenance of national integration and communal harmony.
In the end utility gifts were distributed among the participants.
