Leh: 15 November, 2011 - The
Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Mr. Rigzin Spalbar today
inaugurated a Medical Health Centre building at Solar Colony Choglamsar
constructed by SEWA BHARTI Gujrat with a cost of Rs. 65 lacs.

on the occasion expressed gratitude to Sewa Bharti for their generous
contribution in resettling of the flood affected people through this
hospital and said that such kind of noble assistance would always be
welcomed.
Coming
up of the building is the first step, but the real task is the
practical running of the hospital with every kind of medical facilities
including doctors and equipments. So to ensure efficient functioning of
the centre we will have a detail discussion with the founders of the
centre besides putting efforts at our own level,” said CEC. He further
made it clear that the shifting of the presently running medical centre
at Solar Colony in the newly constructed hospital building is the
responsibility of the Panchayat and village representatives.
The
delegates of Sewa Bharti demanded for the allotment of the adjoining
areas of the building for the purpose of parking and other requirements.
Responding to their demand CEC gave them full assurance and told them
to keep no doubt about it.

Health, Dr. Sonam Wangchok on the occasion thanked the Sewa Bharti on
behalf of the Health Deptt, Leh and expressed hope over this Medical
Centre becoming a great utility centre in future for entire Leh
providing all sorts of medical facilities.
Ex-CEC,
LAHDC, Chhering Dorjey who was also present on the occasion
congratulated the people of Solar Colony for the newly constructed
Medical Centre for them and appreciated Sewa Bharti for their speedy
work in completing the building in such a short time considering the
dire need of the people. “If Sewa Bharti is not providing with the
facilities of doctors then it is completely on the shoulders of present
Council to create posts and recruit doctors and other medical staffs,”
Dorjey added.
Giving
detail of the works done by SEWA BHARTI Gujrat in Ladkah after last
year flood, Sh. Jai Dave Singh who is the head of the SEWA BHARTI Gujrat
for J&K and Himachal Pardesh said that the Hospital building was
constructed at a cost of Rs. 65 lacs and the SEWA BHARTI Gujrat has
collected 2.3 crore for Ladkah out of which 56 lacs have already been
distributed to 934 flood effected families. The Trust constructed 64
homes in different villages of Leh for flood victims and also
constructed 70 traditional waterwheel grinders (Rantak) in different
villages of Leh.
Other
who spoke on the occasion were President Ladakh Phanday Tsogspa Sh.
Rinchen Tundup, Parvin Bai and Dr. Joti, Social Worker of SEWA BHARTI
Gujrat and Goba of Solar Colony.
The function was also attended by Saranch Solar Colony and the people.
