Sevabharathi Pathanamthitta dedicated it's Ambulance Service to public.

Sevabharathi-Pathanamthitta, which has been surging ahead in its activities related to social service, had launched an ambulance service as well. The launch of the ambulance service will be a benchmark in the pursuits of service. The function was inaugurated by Sri. Adoor Prakash, Honourable Minister for Revenue. The function was held at Pathanamthitta town hall on 16 December.

National General Secretary of Akhila Bharatheeya Ayyappa Seva Samajam Sri. Kummanam Rajashekharan had delivered the key address at the function.

The Sevabharathi,Pathanamthitta also expresses whole hearted gratitude to each and every person & organization for contributing in all possible ways towards the fund for purchasing the ambulance and requested for public support for their future endeavors.

Sewa Sangam held in Jharkhand

Ranchi: (VSK): Jharkhand Sewa Sangam-12 was organized at Ranchi from December 8-10, 2012 at premises of Ramtahal Chaudhary high school. The program was attended by 216 delegates representing 39 voluntary organizations engaged in various service activities.
The three-day conference was inaugurated by National Convener of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati Sundar Laxman and Mithilesh Narain, Prant Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The exhibition of activities undertaken by different organizations was the main attraction of the program.
Addressing the inaugural session Gurusharan Prasad, National Joint Secretary of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati highlighted the importance of programs like sewa sangam. Renu Pathak informed the delegates about the activities and programs of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati.

Sewa bharti Udhampur- SGPC organises pre-Gurpurab in district jail

Udhampur, November 27
Shri Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) Udhampur under the management of Dr Vinod Kumar, Superintendent District Jail Udhampur organized pre-Gurpurab function in District Jail Udhampur, today.
A helping hand was also extended by Neelam Nargotra, vice president Sewa Bharti Women Wing Udhampur.
On this occasion, Gurwani and Kirtan were performed by the Kirtan Mandli of Shri Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Udhampur wherein jail inmates, jail staff and CRPF staff participated.
Lastly SSP Jail Dr Vinod Kumar presented vote of thanks to all the guests especially media persons for sparing their
valuable time in attending the function.

Sewa Disha: Service grows to reach

‘Sewa Disha’ a special journal published by RSS and released to the media recently reveals that its service projects all over the country have grown from 15,063 in 1997 into a massive network of 1,57,776 in 2009. The journal, published once in five years, gives full account of the service work done by the innumerable units of the Sangh parivar, said RSS spokesman Manmohan Vaidya.
The service projects are mainly in four fields-- education, healthcare, social work and economic self-reliance. 
Of the total 1.5 lakh projects, nearly 40% or 59,498 are into imparting education. This work is mainly done through Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (3147 units), Rashtriya Sewa Bharti (20,500 schools), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (25,922 units), Vidya Bharti (9682 units), Rashtriya Sevika Sangh (149 units) and Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (98 units). Similarly, 38,582 health-related units are being currently operated mainly through Seva Bharti, VHP, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashrams.…

Saksham: Providing ‘VISION’ to visually impaired

The blinds do not see. We just give them a stick and help them find their way through the ‘darkened’ alleys. Almost all the social organizations that provide help to the blinds follow the same ‘help them’ path. These organizations provide them much needed support, but that’s all. SAKSHAM is not an organization which would follow this beaten path. They did something more for these blind people. They actually help these ‘visually challenged’ people to see and experience the beauty of life.
SAKSHAM is the abbreviation of Samadrishti, Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandhan Mandal. This is a charitable national organization registered at Nagpur under the registration number MAH/654/2008(N). This organization was set up to bring all the persons with various disabilities into the main stream of our nation. SAKSHAM believes that the disabled people are not the burden on the society but assets of the nation.

SEVA SANGAM—2012 CONCLUDES IN SHIMOGA,KARNATAKA The two-day Sewa Sangam -2012 jointly organised by Rashtriya Sewa Bharati and Hindu Seva Pratishthana concluded at Shimoga -Karnataka on October 28 with the call to ‘remain involved in regular sewa and involve others in sewa too’. At the concluding ceremony presided over by the Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sewa Pramukh Shri Ajit Prasad Mahopatra and attended by Director of the Hindu Seva Pratishtana Shri Shridhar Sagar and Uttar Kannada Prant Pracharak Shri Gopal Bhat; Shri gopal Bhat said we have to serve the society not to ‘do and die’ but for ‘do and live’. He said the sewa is not only service during calamities but also serving the needy and the society in our day-to-day life. On October 27, the Sewa Sangam was inaugurated by  Shri  Prasannanatha  Swamiji  of Adichunchungiri Mutt who spoke on the need to preserve dharma through sewa by quoting examples from Ramayana, Mahabharata, Vedas and Upanishdas.

Sewa Bharati distributes Preventive Dengue Medicine

In our II phase of Distribution where we have planned to distribute Preventive medicine for Dengue fever in IT offices and Engineering collages, We have covered the following Engineering collages in Ghatkesar Mandal during the week ending 01.12.2012.

1. Vigyan Bharathi Institute (VBIT).
2. Princeton collage of Engg .
3. Krishna Murthy collage of Engg & Management
4. SPR Collage
5. Megha collage for women(Partly)

We have distributed the preventive medicine for more than 1500 students and staff (approx.10,000 Persons)

We have also obtained the Blood donor consent forms from more than 150 members.

The managements of these collages have given us full cooperation and support.

VBIT has agreed for Blood donation camp at their premises in III week of December and all other collages have agreed for Blood grouping in their premises in January-2013.
