Free coaching at Seva Bharathi

Sevabharathi : 20 teams of 5000 volunteers on the ground

Sevabharathi has 20 teams of a total of 500 volunteers on the ground helping in relief and rescue activities in Uttarakhand.

Digging out bodies by clearing the debris and performing last rites to them, setting up of rehabilitation centres with provision of food, shelter and clothing and conveying information of the pilgrims, both dead and alive, to their family members and relatives include their activities.

The volunteers are actively involved in identifying people stranded in the flood-ravaged areas and evacuate them to safer destinations.

Pictures of Sewa Bharati Uttarakhand flood relief Activity

Till now four trucks containing relief material like food, water, medicines, blankets were sent in Uttar Kashi, Ukhi Math, Gupt Kashi, Joshi Math and Dehradun. Free Food and Health care is being provided to the pilgrims and local villagers The three basic Helipads where rescued pilgrims and villagers are being brought are Sahasradhaara, Jolly Grant ground – Dehradun and ONGC Helipad – Dehradun. The organisation in association with other agenicies is running free medical aid and food centers in all the three centers. From the centre at Maneri 500-1000 persons affected by the flood are being served food per day, apart from volunteers who carry food and shawls to the surrounding areas affected by floods.  Free Transportation facility is being provided to the weak and exhausted. Including buying tickets to the needy. 
Local Villagers are also coming forward with food and whatever little they could offer.

Appeal for Support 2013 Uttarakhand flood & Cloudburst Kilometres of roads had been washed away. Many bridges, houses, water lines, canals, check dams, electricity lines, power houses and other public and private property had been severely damaged.Kedarnath which is the worst affected has 60 villages washed away in the flood fury is awaiting relief and rescue. An expected 72,000 pilgrims and over a million local people have been affected by the floods.

Seva Bharati Guwahati Dhanvantari Sewa Yatra -10

With 172 doctors and Medicos from across the country treating 24735 patients in 114 villages of 7 North eastern states the Dhanvantari sewa yatra was help from 28-4-13 to 4-5-13 and a Valedictory function held on 5th may 2013 at the Down Town Town Hospital, Guwahati. The programme is a grand success.

Sewa Bharti launches 10 day Sanskrit course across Poonch

Poonch, May 29: Sewa Bharti Poonch  today started ten day  Sanskrit language course at  various places of this border district.   Addressing a press Conference, chairman of the organization, Dr Prafull Purohit (Professor M.S University Baroda Gujrat) said that the aim of the 10 day course is to intimate  the  younger generation with knowledge of the ancient Sanskrit language.   He said that this course has been started simultaneously in Mendhar, Surankote, Dharaba, Jhullas and Mangnar from today.  He said that any body is eligible for this course irrespective of caste, colour, creed and age.  Dr Purohit said that Sanskrit is the mother of  all languages and people should come forward to avail this opportunity.  Those present at the press conference were Pt. Sewa Bharti organises painting competition

May 29 Newspoint Bureau Udhampur: Sewa Bharti Sasntha organised painting 
competition at DAV High School today. The objective of this competition was how to save environment where about 30 students participated. Speaking on the occasion, vice-president Neelam Nargotra stressed the need to avoid use of polythene bags. 
She advocated for use of eco-friendly packing material. In the 
function, the students were also given away the prizes. Among 
others present on the occasion were Principal Ajay Raina, Bansi Lal Gupta, RK Mahajan and Dharamveer.
