Seva Bharati organizes Hastkala camp at Khonsa

ITANAGAR, Jul 24: A week-long Hastkala camp, organized by Seva Bharati Arunachal Pradesh, has commenced at the community hall, Khonsa on July 23. The programme was inaugurated by Sontung Bangsia (Lowang), the ZPM of Khela-Lamsa Block.
In the inaugural function, Joykumar Sharma, Seva Bharati’s NE region handicraft in-charge, briefed the gathering about the organization’s activities in handicraft field. He said that the trainees will be trained to make various types of items like teddy, Sonapari doll, dog, Manipuri doll, ceramic pot etc.
ADTH C Rajkumari told that GoI has initiated various schemes to help the handicraft artisans. Handicraft products are getting global acceptance for durability, economy and protection of environment. She urged the participants that they should actively participate in the initiatives of this sort taken by Seva Bharati.

On the eve of Janaki Navmi, Shri Ram Janaki Vivah Samiti and Sewa Bharati jointly organised a mass wedding ceremony in Jaipur on May 19. A total of 41 couples from different castes got married in the ceremony. The objective of the function was to help the economically deprived people in arranging the wedding of their children. It also helped in creating the social harmony among different segments of the Hindu society. The Samiti and the Sewa Bharati have been organising such ceremonies for the last three years in Jaipur, Kota, Baran and other cities of Rajasthan. Marriage certificates to all the newly wedded couples were given on the spot.


Sewabharati Appeal for Support to the Assam flood Victims

Rotary Club donated a funeral Van costing Rs 8,20,000/- on June 29, 2013 to SEWA BHARTI. Our Charter President Rtn Col Harsharan Singh Sandhu gave the keys of the van to Sh. Gian Chand President Sewa Bharti. Our Charter President also Flagged off the funeral van.The club had some reserve funds available. the rest of money was collected from the members and saved from the routine expenditure of the club to donate the Funeral van.
