Sewa Bharti Sansthan performs Kanya Puja

Jodhpur: Sewa Bharti Sansthan on Saturday performed Kanya Puja, celebrated on the eighth and ninth day of Navaratri, at Jodhpur. Nine young girls representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped.

The City secretary Mr Ashok Agarwal while speaking to TV18 said that in the atmosphere where the women are being abused and daily reports of rape, we make an effort to strengthen the tradition of respecting women. Todays girl child is tommorrows woman so this programme has 2151 girl children participating and Kanya poojan was performed.
