Marriage of Poornasree Inmate Held: Sevabharathi

Archana, an inmate of Sevabharati’s Poornasree Balikasadanam,   wedded Bijumon from Palakkad, who is an employee of MRV Infotech at Thiruvallam Achuthan Nair memorial Community Hall here.
 Archana lost her father when she was just 10 months old,and her mother when she was 10 years old. Following the tragic loss of her parents, she was sheltered at Poornasree Balikasadanam which had only 8 children as inmates at that time. She had schooling at Cotton Hill School.
She passed BSc with first class from MG College and secured BEd. from Nettayam MET College. She is now a teacher at Muttathara Vidyamandir of Sevabharati. Bijumon, an RSS volunteer,is the son of Aravindakshan Unni and Kaveriamma of Mannoor, Palakkad.  He is a graduate in Electronics. He informed his wish to marry Archana to Balikasadanam authorities, said K S Vijayan, president, Balikasadanam. Bijumon’s brother had also expressed interest in marrying an orphan or poor girl.

Blood donation camp in Fazilka

Blood donation camp organised: As many as 124 units of blood were collected at a blood donation camp organised by the District Red Cross Society in the local Civil Hospital on Wednesday. Additional Deputy Chief Minister Charandev Singh Maan inaugurated the camp. Activists of various organisations, which have been contributing towards the noble cause, including Dera Sacha Sauda, Ram Kirpa Pheri Sangh, Blood Donation Society, Sewa Bharti, Marshall Academy and Gym, Students For Society Organisation and Blood Bank of Fazilka were also honoured on this occasion.

Mass marriage programme organised: Lions Club Jalpaiguri and Uttar Banga SewaBharati

After the completion of first phase of relief work in Uttarakhand, Sewa International Bharat, carried out an intensive survey in the affected villages and realized that there are good number of educated and degree-holder youths living in these villages of Uttarakhand. But most of them are not utilizing their education and unable to play any role in the upliftment of their family and society. They are lacking in computer skills, confidence, presentation etc. Considering this, it was decided  to develop their personality by adding some value  and making them more useful for the family and society. Sewa International and its team had been involved in relief activities since June 2013. : A Swami Vivekananda memorial library-cum-reading room, developed by Sewa Bharti, was inaugurated at Nehru Memorial Civil Hospital here. Civil Surgeon Dr Baldev Raj said it would be instrumental in propagating the teachings of Swami Vivekananda besides offering relaxed moments to attendants of patients. NGO president Satpal Gilhotra said a kitchen for indoor patients in the complex would provide free food regularly.Source
