Hyderabad: Stressing on the need to use information technology to inspire and motivate people, Union Minister for Information and Technology Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad asked the NGOs to take forward their goals by optimum use of technology.
The Union Minister was in the city to inaugurate two-day National Socio Technical Conference Tech for Seva (TFS) organized by Sevabharathi at National Institute of Tourism, Hospitality and Management (NITHM) at Gachibowli here on Saturday.
Honorable Union Minister Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Speaking on the occasion he said that Technology can be used for inspiring and motivating people of the country. �Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna�, Swacch Bharat Mission� initiatives were taken to the people with the help of technology, he said.
Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the technology can improve the quality of life. The world is looking at India and India�s talent. "IT + Indian Talent = India�stomorrow" and the government will make the governance better by utilizing technology, he said. People are ready to change and change is possible through the use of technology, the Union Minister added.
The focus of deliberations in this conference is Education, Health, Livelihood and Environment. The event was started with a grand inauguration of conference by Honorable Union Minister for Information and Technology.
"The conference will be doing the most important thing that is lacking today that is to connect ground level innovators to Corporates and NGOs to help them take their innovations to next level (go to market). TFS will be the enabling medium for taking these innovators go to market" Said Bharat Anumolu-President, Youth For Seva, Hyderabad chapter, Raghunath Verabelli-General Secretary, Seva Bharathi, Telangana unit.
The conference will also come out with strong recommendations on solutions that can bring in faster transformation in the society in the above identified areas" they added. Over a Thousand delegates from various parts of country are part of the conference.
220 NGOs from various parts of the country, many government departments and 100 IT and non-IT companies are about to discuss and deliberate on issues that matter to India currently. About 100 presentations will be made by NGOs and Corporates focusing on the work they are doing in the areas of Education, Environment and Sustainability.
