The citizens of Delhi are becoming aware and conscious of the country’s condition particularly due to several awareness campaigns launched about cleanliness, women safety, social responsibility and contribution towards making a better India. This was evident on Sunday morning as almost 1000 people despite extreme cold participated in a ‘Sankalp Daudh’ at Kudsia Park in Civil Lines organized by Sewa Bharti, an NGO working for economically weaker sections of the society. It was a short run of 3 km from the park in which people from all walks of life participated.
The ‘Sankalp Daudh’ marked famous sports personalities including wrestler Jagdish Kaliraman, Asian Games gold medalist in athletics Sunita, international power lifter Gaurav Sharma, and wrestler Shiv Kumar Sharma.
“This Sankalp Daudh has been organized so that the youth come forward to do something for the country. Today, we pledge to ensure women safety, keeping the surroundings clean, safe nation, educated nation, development in slums, social responsibility,” Surender, a worker of the NGO said while addressing the participants.
