7-day Sevabharathi Yoga program draws close in Tawang
TAWANG, Aug 14: Seva Bharati conducted a seven-day programme on Yoga that concluded here today with 24 participants getting lessons on Yoga.
Yogasanas, Pranayam, Surya Namaskar and breathing techniques were the main attractions of the Yoga class.
Seva Bharati Yog Prashikshak Dhananjay Chutia was honoured by Tawang DSP Pem Norbu Thongdok for his volunteer service.
Thongdok, the chief guest said that people should come together and participate positively in the programmes arranged by social organizations like Seva Bharati because they are working purely for the social causes.
He said, We should be proud of what we have, what our ancestors have given us. We are following western model blindly but forgetting about our great gift - Yoga to the world for keeping ourselves fit.
Rinchin Norbu, secretary of Losel Nyinje Library supported the Yoga classes organized by Seva Bharati.
Vibhag Pracharak Shekhar Kelkar said that on public demand the Yoga session will be continued in Shiva temple daily. He urged people to come together at 5 am daily and keep on the habit of doing Yoga for the upkeep of health.
