Sevabharathi Tamil Nadu gives aid to differently-abled

Chennai: As many as 148 differently-abled people received kits like tricycle, hearing aid, wheelchair and special shoes at a function organised by Sevabharathi, an NGO in association with North Tamilnadu Chapter of Saksham, an all India-based voluntary organisation which is into serving the differently-abled persons here on Tuesday.
Presenting the kits, Justice V Kanakaraj praised Sevabharathi for its service, especially during the December deluge. Sevabharathi State president K Vedagiri said about 5,500 volunteers from their organisation took part in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures during the floods.
The NGO gave iron boxes and tools for carpenters and electricians who lost all their belongings in the floods. "We even honoured armed forces personnel who took part in the rescue work during the heavy rains," he said. RSS south India secretary S Rajendran was also present.
